AND-E has teamed up with KOcycle to reduce environmental impact by responsibly managing retired IT equipment across its offices in the UK, France, and Germany. This initiative has saved over 236 tonnes of CO2 by recycling and reusing more than 1,500 devices, with 100% of hardware donated, reused, or recycled — avoiding landfill completely.
Thanks to KOcycle’s global IT reuse network and zero-landfill policy, old hardware finds new purpose in communities that need it most. As part of KOcycle’s Digital Inclusion program, AND-E donated 20 computers to schools and other institutions struggling to afford new technology, helping bridge the digital divide while reducing waste. These included Guys and St Thomas Foundation Trust, The Outside project LGBTIQ+ Centre and Essex Recovery Centre.
The partnership also supports global reforestation efforts through KOcycle’s collaboration with Tree Nation, which has planted 230 trees as part of this project.

”Robust IT infrastructure is essential for smooth operations; how we manage the lifecycle of that equipment matters just as much,”commented Marco Müller, Manager IT Infrastructure (Client) Services, AND-E. ”ND-E’s green IT principles focus on reducing environmental impact, minimising waste, and promoting energy efficiency. Simply discarding ageing hardware would be in direct conflict with that mission.”
”This initiative shows how small changes in how we manage our IT can make a big difference for the environment. It’s a great example of what green IT looks like in action and another example of how AND-E is turning our values into meaningful action. Through smart collaboration and responsible choices, we’re not only modernising our technology; we’re also helping to protect the environment and promote digital equity for future generations”
At KOcycle, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, and our recent partnership with AND-E has been a shining example of that”, added Oli Mason, Founder and Managing Director, KOcycle.
”Working together has allowed us to combine our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability, turning an IT waste stream into a force for good, making a real difference for our clients and the wider community. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far through this partnership, with 1658 assets collected to date that have been recycled, reused or donated as part of our KODI digital inclusion project. This partnership reflects the best of what can happen when two forward-thinking organisations join forces, not just saving an impressive 236,177KG of CO2e from reaching the atmosphere through the need of new equipment being manufactured, but also seeing the planting of 230 trees as part of the ever-expanding KOcycle forest. I would like to thank the AND-E team for their energy, expertise, and trust in KOcycle as a partner.”
